Latest Update:

He was Wes’s pick at the shelter, and we knew he was going to be extremely hard to find a home for. Not only is he a pit mix, but he is also an all black dog. Badlands proved to be a very intelligent and athletic dog from the start. Today Badlands starts his new life, with his adopters Charles and Melissa and their two dogs Luna and Honey. Charles and Melissa recently lost their blue nosed pit, Bailey, last year and were excited to be getting companionship for their current dogs. Luna and Badlands are sure to be best friends, as they started playing almost immediately after meeting each other. They haven’t picked out a new name for him yet, but they have promised to keep us updated on his story via the Happy Tails page.
Happy life Badlands!
This was Wes’ pick and he is full of energy is CUTE and was nearly impossible to get a picture of because he was so excited to go with us. He is bouncy and sweet. He was picked up as a stray on New Years Eve and has been at the shelter ever since with nobody looking for him. He is estimated to be about 2 years old.

UPDATE 3/21/2022
Not only is he gorgeous and incredibly intelligent, he is also a very sweet boy who loves to be a lap dog. Ready to do tricks and and learn new things every day.
This is Badlands and we are still looking for his home.
UPDATE 3/8/2022
He is smart and would be an amazing frisbee dog or an agility dog. His brains need to be utilized, are you a runner and need a sidekick? Do you like to bicycle with a dog? Do you want a dog you can take in agility classes? Badlands just might be the dog for you.
UPDATE 3/7/2022
We’ve got dogs that are bored and looking for something to do while waiting for families to adopt them so the volunteers thought maybe we would have a little agility with a couple of them. Badlands is very bright and would be an excellent dog to belong to someone who wants to utilize that mind. Badlands is just a frisbee dog in the making, you throw it he will get it.
He is looking for his forever family.
