Bonnet

This is the second adoption for Katie and Matthew with Dog Ranch Rescue. They previously adopted Kelly the DDB. Katie and Matthew have been long time fosters with Lone Star Bulldog Rescue and have fostered countless mill mamas and have tons of experience. When Bonnet came in they knew this confused girl was perfect for them. They will show her the way and teach her how to be a pet and love other dogs as opposed to being a breeder mama in a mill.

This girl displayed some aggression to other girls while Ricky was loading up, this can be a common reaction to unsocialized mill dogs who have lived their life alone in a cage. Fence fighting is what they do to entertain themselves, it’s what they do to ease the boredom. We will be doing the cage release with her on a leash while we figure out who she is and if she can co-exist with other dogs. Of course none of this would have happened if she was born into a loving home as a little baby and socialized properly but alas she was born in a mill and remained in one with her sole purpose in life to make puppies for the public.
