Awww our old man Boscoe was scooped up by our volunteer Danielle who took him home to love him forever.
“My little old man…
I’m excited to announce our newest addition…Boscoe!! Alyssa fostered him and posted the most beautiful photos of him. Each photo tugged at my heart – I felt like he was meant to join our crew. We did a brief weekend visit while Alyssa traveled, and everyone got along perfectly! Boscoe is so grateful for good food and a warm bed. He mastered the dog door in under an hour, follows us everywhere, and keeps Mike company all day long while he works from home. His back legs are a little weak, but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the fullest and chasing the lawnmower like a crazy man possessed!! We’re going to look into acupuncture and some other options to ensure he keeps the use of his back legs for as long as possible. He’s my grumpy little frog – and he will be forever loved in our home. He joins DRR alums Luna, Mack, and Hoke (Hoke refused to take a picture with us!) We absolutely adore him!!
”

We were contacted by a family in Dallas about this old man. His elderly owner can no longer care for him, so he went to his son’s home with a Dachshund that doesn’t like him and bit his ear causing a hematoma.
They asked could we please take him and today he was dropped off at the sanctuary. He’s reported to be 10 years old, neutered, in good health and just a sweet old guy with all people and dogs.
As you can imagine this is very stressful for an old guy, Emma has him cooling in the lobby at the sanctuary. He’s chubby and old and came in panting hard. We will get him examined for anything he needs but we will start posting about him now because it takes a very special adopter to take on a sweet old man that’s in his twilight years.
Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Boscoe.

UPDATE 6/7/2022
Even old fellas need a little weight reduction sometimes. Foster mom Alyssa working with chubby boy Boscoe
“May 20 vs June 5: Boscoe is down 2.8 pounds total since we got him. He’s moving faster and it takes a lot less time for him to cool down. Was hoping for some improvement in his back leg with the weight loss but not necessarily seeing that, especially when he turns or moves fast. We did add a little steamed broccoli to his dinner this past week and he’s a huge fan of that!
UPDATE 5/24/2022
He’s a heart stealer and the volunteers and employees love this old man. Boscoe moved to a foster home with Alyssa yesterday, he’s old and a quiet home would be much better for him. His checkup looked pretty good for an old man, his health is good he has a little bit of weakness in his back legs, he has an ear infection and needs his teeth cleaned but other than that he’s ready for his new home soon.
