Latest Update: About Butternut:
At the November puppy mill rescue we secured brother and sister English Bulldogs, both six months old. This sweetheart is the female and all sweetness. Her foster mom has this to say about her:
So far, so good on potty-training. She’s only had one accident in the house…pretty impressive for a six month old puppy!! She’s a medium energy puppy – she’ll play and then crash for awhile. She is terrified of the leash (we’re working on it). She loves her dog friends (five foster siblings + a cranky cat). She would do very well with another dog sibling to show her the ropes. She is gaining confidence but is still scared of raised voices – she will pancake down if she’s startled. She is crated when we leave the house and does fine, but does NOT like the crate at night, so she’s been sleeping in her dog bed right next to us and does well all night.
She’s learning the routine at our house; she knows when meal times are and goes crazy with the rest of the pack, knows where the treat jar is, and goes to the door for potty breaks. She is absolutely beautiful!
Let’s welcome adorable Butternut to DRR!
