Sweet little Chenille is showing off her best smile as she has found her furever home in Plano, TX with Danita & Jorge Rodrigues-Piers! After seeing pictures/videos of Chenille coming out of her shell and becoming the silly girl she is today, they knew she would be the perfect addition to the pack. So Danita packed up Chenille’s new frenchie siblings Mooie Mae & Mars to make the short trip over and see how everyone would get along. It couldn’t have gone any better! It’s undecided on what her new name will be or she’ll keep her rescue name, but either way we are so happy for her and her new family! We hope to see her grow more confident with the Rodrigues-Piers on Happy Tails! Have a sweet life, sweet girl!

 

About Chenille:

• Sweet Chenille was very nervous and had some issues lashing out at the other mill dogs upon intake. She had 0 social experience and needed some time and space to learn the ropes of being in a group of dogs. She still gets shy when you approach but is starting to get slightly better. Overall doing well in the group. Ideally will go to Ana for foster soon, likely need an adopter familiar with mill mamas. She’s in there somewhere and you can see her wheels turning, but she needs time and a kind, structured environment. She is fully vetted, could be placed now but ideally can go to foster first.
• UPDATE 7/5/23– Chenille has landed in foster with the fabulous Ana and Andy who have been so lucky to see her grow into a sweet, playful Frenchie who’s personality is finally starting to shine through what was once a very nervous, shutdown exterior. She loves toys and bones and has even started to play with Ana’s other fosters. We had the pleasure of having Chenille back at the sanctuary for the weekend and she was a total doll. She did great, got right back into our routine, and had zero issues. She is still a bit nervous of brand-new things, but she has grown so much since coming to us from her life in a puppy mill, and we know that the perfect home is just over the horizon for this girl.
