Breed: Labrador Retriever
Current Location: Texas
Adoption Date: April 21, 2018
Adopted by: the Hunter family
The breeding cycle has ended for Cherry, she’s raised her last litter of pups. Yesterday, she finally went on to her home where she will forever be a pet that is loved in her home.
I’m sure you remember that David and Julie Hunter and their two daughters – they adopted Hope and gave her the best life until they lost her to cancer. They were chosen for Cherry long ago but needed to wait until she gave birth and raised her pups. They are looking forward to going on nightly walks and snuggle time too.
They are undecided on her name but are thinking about Hazel or possibly keeping the name Cherry.
We are so grateful that they were ready to open their hearts so quickly again. Cherry will want for nothing in her new life.
Happy life, sweet girl!About Cherry:
At the auction, she was advertised as housebroken, bred three times to a parti-colored Standard Poodle in January. She’s OFA certified and she has 8 to 10 pups and will surrogate pups and of course, she’s very friendly so they had put her to good use earning her keep. I was very afraid that she would be very much desired because of the Doodle debacle in the sale market to the public and their demand for them. She was artificially inseminated on her last litter to a Miniature Poodle trying to throw small Doodles for that demand as well.
She was born on 9/4/2013 so she’s 4 years old and a red Labrador. When we met her she just loved that we would take the time to go and talk to her and when we had to leave she stood up on her kennel door and begged for us to come back.
Jessica went to task on the Amish miller who wanted her and she had no intention of losing.
We will get her seen by Dr D to understand if her three ties with the Standard Poodle have turned into her being pregnant or not.
Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue, sweet Cherry!
