Our sweet doxy with one brown eye and one blue, Cheryl, was adopted today. Brie Smith and Terri O’Neil drove from Garland, TX to take her home where she will be spoiled and very much loved as an only dog. Brie and Terri have owned Doxies in the past and were ready to adopt after their beloved dog passed away last year. When asked if they had picked out a new name for their girl, Brie pointed at the shirt she was wearing which showed a Doxy with the name Sydney on the tag. There in the corner of the tag were the initials CB, for Cheryl Byrne honoring her namesake, along with a second tag showing the #184 crossed out – Sydney’s old mill number. They plan to take Cheryl to the next Dog Ranch Rescue RV rally.

About Cheryl: Last but certainly not least. This girl made a big impression when our anonymous bidder met her. She has a rating system with stars on the dogs she loves, the most favored dogs get 3 stars this girl got 4 which we have never seen before.
She is a silver dapple piebald Dachshund. She was born on 1/19/19 but of course she’s already had a litter of 8 pups but they had to be born with a c-section. do you see a common theme here?
She has reported to be possible bred now so we will be on standby to check on that as well. If she is off she will go to stay with Jenn too.

I told all of you we had a beloved village member pass away who was dearly loved by so many that I said we would name a rescue after her. This little girl will be named Cheryl Byrne.
