Christmas was adopted today and is going to live with Janet Hukill in Mesquite, TX. She previously adopted one of our very first rescues, a Chihuahua named Elmer, and has been wanting to adopt another Chihuahua from us for the past year. Christmas will have two additional Chihuahua siblings to play with and a Chihuahua cousin who comes to stay during the week. It will be one big happy Chi Chi family. Janet is retired and will be home with her during the day.
Her new name will be Gabby.
Happy life tiny girl 💕About Christmas:
Laura got an emergency call from the ER that we work with about this little 5 pound Chihuahua. We are told she was attacked by a big dog, multiple broken ribs and penetrating chest wound. The owners brought her in and had no money to care for her and asked them to euthanize her. The staff said they just couldn’t do it. She is just as sweet as can be, is in horrible pain and never offered to bite in spite of it all, and instead they called us asking if we could help. The owners have surrendered her and we have accepted her.
Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Christmas
Christmas has been seen by Dr. Reno and has continued to improve. Her wounds are healing and her fractured rib pain is being managed with medication. She is very happy in her foster home and loves playing with the two other dogs in the house. This little, spunky girl has a big personality and lots of energy. She also enjoys lounging on the patio and snuggling with her foster mom.
