Latest Update:
Cloudy was adopted today by Leza and Betty from Dallas, TX. Her new name will be Chloe and she will be one spoiled little princess. This family has a lot of poodle experience and will be home a lot to help sweet Chloe get comfortable. Chloe will be the only dog and her new mamas are already planning grooming and training once she settles in. No more cloudy days for this sweet girl…. Just sunshine and rainbows!
About Cloudy: You know how much we love Poodles. There were so many Standard Poodles in this auction. Our bidder fell in love with this girl and called her elegant and regal, which is a way that we see so many Standard Poodles. Just a wonderful breed. This girl was the oldest in the auction and is now safe with us. We will get her all groomed up to make her shine again and get the neglected mill look off of her.

UPDATE 11/29/2021
Cloudy is in her foster home with Ana, she’s got a list of demands. This is one of them
Cloudy stands and waits for me when I don’t bring her bed back out of the bedroom and put it in her spot in the living room for nighttime TV time. She’s such a princess . But I oblige because she deserves to be a diva.
BRB. Going to get her bed.
UPDATE 11/22/2021
A little update on Cloudy from her foster mom Ana.
“Cloudy is such a sweet sweet girl with a silly side. She’s nervous, sure, but who wouldn’t be with all the new things she’s seeing and hearing and feeling for the first time after six long years in a mill. Even through her nervousness, she strikes a nice balance between sassy and sweet, quiet and diva. She loves soft things, as evidenced by her reaction to coming into her foster home for the first time. Right away, she dove into a pillow on the floor then proceed to jump on the couch and roll around; needless to say, she has a taste for the finer things. Her favorite place to lie is her bed and if it’s not just where she likes it, she’ll let you know with her judgy stares, hair (ear) flips and pacing until you move it for her. Need help sorting the laundry? You can count on Cloudy! She loves to pick up socks, shirts even pillows and carry them around. Sometimes, they even end up outside! No one has actually SEEN her take anything out there so she’s still innocent until proven guilty. Need a guard dog? Better call Cloudy! She’ll protect you from strong gusts of wind, shadows and even stray cats. She’s learning how to live in a home and is doing quite well. She’s found her voice and uses it to fend off the aforementioned threats. Cloudy is mild-mannered and very smart. Housebreaking wasn’t even necessary because she was a whiz (pun intended) at going outside to potty right from the start. Any household would be damn lucky to welcome this girl in and give her a furever home. She’s got a little ways to go yet when it comes to trusting humans, but who doesn’t?
Please consider opening your home to Cloudy. She’s truly a gem.”
UPDATE 11/14/2021
An update on Cloudy from foster mom Ana…
Cloudy is still nervous and unsure of this whole living in a house with people thing but she’s slowly coming around. She seems to feel safe on this bed so I move it around the house for her. She likes to be in the same room as me and follows me around. If I’m moving around cleaning or if we’re sitting at the dining room table for dinner, she paces until we’re done. Once we sit down in the living room, she settles into her bed. She’s going outside and coming back in on her own now. I don’t crate her unless I have to leave the house and she sleeps in the bedroom on her trusty bed. She’s never had an accident and sleeps through the night. Eating is a challenge, but we’re figuring it out. She listens and takes direction well. She’s such a sweet girl and I can see in her eyes that she wants to trust but I’m sure 7 years in a mill has given her plenty of reasons not to. So I don’t push. There is that sock though…signs of the silliness just starting to peek out..
She’ll get there in her time and I’ll be here to help her while she figures things out, until she finds her furever home.
UPDATE 11/5/2021
We sent Cloudy off to a foster home with Ana because she’s pretty shy and afraid. Her initial response to being in a home with soft things was to rub herself all over them.
Life in a mill no longer…the simple joys that have never been given like a soft blanket, or soft furniture. These are things that are taken for granted by those who have not suffered like the mill dog..
