Latest Update:
Clown Car is off to her new home! She was adopted by Jerry Dever and family from Richardson, TX. This family previously adopted Chime the Yorkie (now Chloe) from DRR. Jerry and his wife Elysia talked about adopting Clown Car but decided that it wasn’t a good time. Then Jerry secretly applied for Clown Car to surprise Elysia as a belated birthday present. Their 15 year old daughter was in on the surprise and has been so excited to meet Clown Car. Their college age son is also home to meet this little girl. They are thinking of calling her Cici which coincidentally is what foster mom Jenn has been calling her all along so she is already answering to her new name. We can’t wait to see Chloe and Cici playing together on the Happy Tails page soon.

UPDATE 11/27/2021
Jenn rushed her to the ER and she was suffering from calcium insufficiency which we knew could happen but typically its long before the pups are 5 weeks old like Clown Car’s pups were. She stayed in the hospital over night and had some supplemental calcium which had her feeling as good as new. Her little clown babies are now completely weaned so the issue will never arise again.
UPDATE 10/21/2021
First of all mama Clown Car is doing great, she loves her little babies and this will be the last litter of pups for her in her life. Clown Car is 1/2 Yorkie and 1/2 Maltese and the father is supposed to be a Maltese, so I’ll let you do the math on that all we care about is healthy puppies.
UPDATE 10/11/2021
Sweet CC (Clown Car). She is doing amazing learning how to live in a home. She has not soiled her pen even once since she arrived. We did have a couple days where she would go outside and the come back in and potty on the floor but we have that fixed now. She loves belly rubs. She eats small frequent meals since there isn’t much room in there with a belly full of puppies. She has no issue with any of the other dogs in the home. She sits quietly soaking in everything going on around her.
