Being tied to the fence outside of the Ranch in the dark and freezing rain will be a distant memory for Cossette.
She was adopted today and is going to live with Lindsay Tipton from Idabel, OK. Lindsay wants a playmate for her current dog Gitta and there is no one who wants to play more than Cosette. On holidays Cosette will get to spend time with our former fosters Fudge Ripple and Wilson who were adopted by Lindsay’s parents.
She is such a good girl and never deserved to be treated so poorly but that is all over now and off she goes to her forever life.
Her name will be Chloe and she will live with a sister who is a Golden Retriever mix to play with every day.
Happy life sweet girl
About Cossette:
I have been incredibly angry most of the day. It started very early this morning in the pouring rain with the temperature hovering near freezing. Our employee coming in to work, and what does she see out at the front gate to the Ranch is this dog with her pink harness and pink flexi lead tied to the horse fencing in front of the sign out near the road.
She was soaking wet and freezing and of course terrified, who knows how long she had been out there.
What kind of piece of shit person does this to a dog? This is how you find a rescue for a dog you don’t want anymore? This is what you do to your dog? We have coyotes all over this property and she was a sitting duck to be killed by them, what could she have done, nothing that’s what…Just imagine for a moment driving your dog in your car with the heater on becuase its cold outside, it’s raining and you have your wipers on so you can see, you drive up to the Ranch because you know we have a rescue here, step outside in the dark, the cold, the rain… and escort your dog over to the mailboxes and tie your dogs flexi lead to the fence and then walk back to your warm car.
Don’t look back because you piece of crap because you might see your dog looking at you asking you what are you doing to her?
Then get in your warm dry car and drive away, once again don’t look in your rear view mirror you piece of crap becasue you might see her brown eyes looking at you asking you what are you doing to her?
As your tail lights drive down the road do you feel bad? does this make you sad? do you care at all? do you feel accomplished that you dropped her somewhere that would care? do you even care about that? I can’t even imagine for one second doing that to any dog let alone one of my own dogs. I hope when you lay down at night to go to sleep you see the image of what you’ve done over and over again and I hope it makes you feel terrible.
We have security cameras up at our front gate and I assure you we will be looking at the footage and looking to catch your sorry ass with what you have done. No dog deserves to be treated this way and if we can find you I will post everything about you on this page.
This girl looks to be a year old or younger and probably has some Border Collie in her. She is safe and warm now and we will take the steps needed to vet her and find a home for her that would never do anything like this again.
Good grief what a terrible thing to do, my head explodes and I’ll be angry about it for a long time..
I’m sorry this person failed you in a big way, we shall call you Cossette
