Latest Update:

What a big day for Dahlia! After waiting almost 4 months to be adopted, she has found her furever family. The Barganier’s here from Anna, TX took the small trip this morning to meet this sweet girl. After a few treats and some belly rubs, they couldn’t have been more in love with her. So off she went! With Robert and Jill’s schedules, someone will always be home for Dahlia so she will have plenty of time to bond with her new family. Dahlia also has a kitty sister waiting for her arrival at home to play with as well as Jill and Robert son’s dog Poppy (DRR Eggnog from Bernice’s litter). The Barganier’s are undecided on Dahlia a new name or to keep her name. They want to take the time to see her true personality and decide then. Once they do, Jill promises to post on Happy Tails how she is doing settling in with her official name. Until then, enjoy your new fantastic life Dahlia!

About Dahlia:
Dahlia came from this “breeder” that have dogs living in pretty deplorable conditions. This girl sis only one year old. She has an issue with her heart. I’ll relay to you what Dr. Reno told us about her.
“Dahlia has a mild pulmonic stenosis with abnormal valve. It is recommended she have a recheck echo done in 6 months with a cardiologist. Most likely will need echo once yearly to monitor. Right now she only has mild changes in heart. She may need medicines later on in life, and she perhaps could have a shorter life span if it continues to progress”.
Dahlia is a silly young girl who shows no symptoms as. of now and we have no way of knowing if and or when she will.
Dahlia is considered special needs, she will require a home that accepts her for what she is, and will adopt her knowing the facts.
Dahlia is all vetted and will need to wait until the that special adopter appears…
  • Adorable underbite, very young, puppy energy, loves to snuggle up to everyone and has never met a stranger. Great with all dogs, all sizes. Congenital heart issue (mild pulmonic stenosis w/abnormal valve, rec recheck echo 10/1, does not need balloon now but need to watch) no outward symptoms or medications. Will need lifelong monitoring (echocardiograms likely annually) and may need meds in the future but there is no treatment currently indicated. *Needs someone who is home or WFH * (Messes her den constantly and will need help with potty training.) Fully vetted and RTG.
