Daisy

Daisy was adopted today by Stephanie and Brian Kirkwood from Newark, TX. They were introduced to the DRR page by their neighbors who adopted frenchies from us. They are long time dachshund lovers and lost their 21 year old dachshund Smokey about a year ago. They felt they were ready to open their hearts to a new dachshund and Daisy is that lucky girl. For now she will be the only dog in the home. Their son has a Boston Terrier Shihtzu who will come for visits and they are hoping to adopt a male dachshund puppy in a couple of months. They are small business owners who can make their own schedule. They recently moved out to the country in preparation for retirement so Daisy will have a lot of space to run around and explore. They have decided to keep the name Daisy. (Reference Driving Miss Daisy). Stephanie thought Daisy was the cutest thing when they met. Daisy will need some time to warm up to her new family but we are confident she will be tail wagging and kissing their faces soon. Stephanie has joined the Happy Tails page and promised to send updates on Daisy’s progress.

This Dachshund was dropped off with us for free. They state she has milk and is either pregnant or having a false pregnancy.

She was born on 5/2/15 and her paperwork shows she was recently sold at auction in October of last year, so she’s clearly not a reliable breeder.

She will go straight to Maternity Manor while we figure it out.
