Latest Update:
Patricia Settle filled out the application for Dollye Anne the minute she came into our rescue. She and her husband James are Schnauzer lovers and have lost two recently and were looking to heal their hearts. After they were approved for Dollye they decided they wanted a baby too. So Alan Napier was the baby they chose.
Alan has left today for his new life but Dollye will be behind him by a few weeks. She will get her milk completely dried up and then she will be spayed and go off to live with her little boy.
His name will be Simon and once Dollye leaves her name will be Sophie. They live right there in Mckinney and are just down the street from Dr. D’s office.
We couldn’t be happier for this sweet Mama!
We were fortunate to rescue this little pregnant Mama from an Amish mill on an auction mission in June. She spent a few days with our awesome volunteer, D.S. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet, and Dr. D says there’s at least eight puppies waiting to be born. She’s thin and doesn’t eat well so we are sending her home for loving care and baby watch with our very experienced foster mom, Jenn.
We are naming this group of rescues (and her puppies) after our Village mothers from a Mother’s Day post. This girl’s name will be Dollye Anne after the mother of Village member Linda Etters.
Welcome to the Dog Ranch Rescue, Dollye Anne.
