Are you ready for this story?
Look at this girls face and tell me how happy it makes you.
Doris was an owner surrender, 7 years old and surrendered due to the allergy of a child. Little did we know that Doris hated other dogs, we tried, we tried with males only, we tried with females we tried. She hated them all. This put Doris in a very difficult category to find a home for her, she lived alone in the lobby, waiting day after day, for someone to raise their hand and say ” I would love to adopt Doris”..
Enter Clarissa into the chat, she sends us an email that says I am very interested in adopting Doris, but also interested in adopting Jaxson if he doesn’t have a home, she left it to us, whichever dog needs her the most. Jaxson already had an adoption in the works, so we discussed Doris.
Clarissa has no other dogs and her goal with a adopting is to adopt the hard to place dog that nobody else wants. She didn’t care what medication she might be on, didn’t care that she is hard of hearing, didn’t care that she needed to be the only dog, Doris was going to be adopted by her.
Clarissa Cardenas lives in San Antonio Texas but they were on their way to Colorado for a vacation and felt like they should swing by Anna Texas grab this silly old gal and take her on vacation with them, so that is just what they did..Look at Doris and her smile, it literally makes me tear up to look at it…
So just like that, a village member once again comes to the rescue, the hero for a dog that nobody else wanted, that multiple people backed out on, but not Clarissa, she said she was coming and there is she is, and off they go…No more lobby for Doris, no more waiting…
Enjoy your vacation funny girl, and enjoy your new life… thank you Clarissa for your kind heart, we wish you all a long happy life together filled with adventures…
- Doris is a lovely low-key mature Frenchie girl looking for an only dog home. She came to us after having been in the same home for her entire life, where she was very loved, but was not socialized with other dogs. She loves to hang out in the lobby of the sanctuary and chew on a benebone, as well as taking her many daily naps in the recliner. She enjoys walks around the ranch, and is a perfectly docile, calm girl with a sassy side who would love to be a part of your life if you’re looking for an easy-going companion who would live out her golden years with you by her side.
