During the big intake we had yesterday at the Sanctuary we also had our very first adoption. The lucky dog was our sweet Eclair.

Lauren and JC from Plano, TX brought along their Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix Murphy. Éclair and Murphy hit it off right away. For Lauren, I think it was love at first sight. She carried Eclair around throughout our visit, which Eclair the snuggle bunny just ate right up. This family seems to be perfectly matched. Éclair will now be known as Black Pearl. They plan to call her Pearl for short. Looking forward to seeing updates of this beautiful famiy on the happy tails page.

About Eclair:

She was surrendered as a breeder mama in Elk City, Oklahoma so our warrior foster, Trish, picked her up and is taking care of this girl. She is the sweetest girl…6 years old with one eye lost several years ago. She has seen the vet for initial bloodwork. We know she has a terrible ear infection, as well as yeast between her toes, but it amazes me how these mama’s can be so sweet after being virtually ignored for years.
