Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux
Adoption Date: June 13, 2019
Adopted by: Charlotte
As you know Gayla lost Charlotte from her cancer after only having her for 6 weeks. We cannot begin to thank her enough for opening her heart knowing it would be broken in a short period of time, but that’s just what she did and she gave Charlotte everything she could dream of in that 6 weeks before closing her eyes and passing away at home with Gayla and Guy Man at her side.
She told us that Guy Man was sad and confused and when Ella came in I knew we would struggle to find her an adopter and I told Laura to reach out to her because I knew Ella would be a great match for Guy Man.
Guy Man is a lazy dude and even though Ella is only 18 months old she is a very quiet dog so I knew they would be good friends and Gayla came today to pick up this little girl who was sold on Craigslist unwanted any longer.
Gayla is going to think about her name and let us know what she decides. Today is Gayla’s birthday and Ella was a present to herself to help her heal her broken heart and we are very happy to make it a happy birthday for her.
Happy life to each you, Gayla, Ella and Guy Man. 💘
We had a village member send us an ad for this very young bear being sold on Craigslist saying they were moving and she had go…
Laura reached out to them and they said they already had someone coming to get her, and she had just come out of heat. Laura doesn’t take no for an answer and took to our transport page looking for someone close that could go pick her up immediately, before the other interested party could get to her.
A village member named Debbie Jaegar came to the rescue and leaped in her car to meet these people at a dog park where they handed off their 1 year old little girl bear to some person they don’t even know. The picture sent to us looked like she was hanging out on a balcony of an apartment so we are happy to get her in our possession and nobody needs to worry about her ever coming into heat again nor ever having a litter of pups.
We found she was indeed purchased at Pet Land, known for selling dogs from puppy mills and disreputable breeders. She’s small, approx 42 lbs, and she will stay that small. She’s also a happy girl and we are so glad she is safe with us while we find her the perfect home.
Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue, Ella!
