This is what it’s all about, and this is what we work so hard for. To see a dog suffer the way he has all the way to today, healthy and happy…Eugene has left the Ranch and will not look backward, only good things ahead for him.
He will live with the Ash family from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He has a new brother Chihuahua named Matador and two kids ages 7 and 10 to play with him all day.
His new name will be Eugene Snorlax, proudly named after a Pokemon. Can you tell there’s a little boy involved?
Happy life, Eugene Snorlax 
This poor boy was sick with mange and possibly sick with an upper respiratory infection. He was an owner surrender and on the immediate kill list so we couldn’t ignore those sweet eyes and pleading face. He was in this cage with another dog that was aggressive and beating him up and all he did was cry and try to get away so we arranged for his transport to the Ranch with some other rescues coming from the death valley of Texas.
Once he arrived he was painfully under weight but is happily eating any and all the food we offer all while his whole body wags with his tail. He’s also loving the soft comfy bed where he sleeps safe and warm.
