And off goes Firefly! Mindy and Steve Ertle made the 4 hour drive from Dayton, TX to the sanctuary this morning to pick up and take this very handsome man to his new home! He will be the Ertle’s very first French Bulldog and their first small dog, so as you can guess he’ll be pretty spoiled. After losing their Rottweiler Lab mix at the beginning of this year, they knew it was time to introduce a new dog into their life. And they couldn’t have chosen better! Firefly will now be named Beaux, and they have promised to continue sharing Beaux’s story on our Happy Tails page!

Besides being filthy and covered in urine, this boy has lots of wounds on his face and body, we are told that two of these boys don’t like one of the other boys but we have not ironed all of that out yet and it will take time to know who they really are when not locked up in cages fence fighting with each other.
