Where do I begin with the story of Gale? I loved her from the minute I saw her face in a rabbit hutch in Louisiana begging to get out.
She never disappointed on exactly how special she was. I loved her, Wes loved her, Travis loved her, Jessica loved her, Dr. D loved her, and her foster mom Pam cried today to let her go to her new home.
She had such a long road to go with her rotten mouth that left her with only three teeth. She had so many masses in her breasts that it required not one but two horrifically large incisions. Pam cared for her throughout and kept everything clean with her adorable jammies.
Gale was named after Gale King who is Oprah’s best girlfriend. do you suppose there is some fate to the fact that her new mom’s last name happened to be King?
Nancy King from Corpus Christi has been waiting patiently for her to get well, and was never deterred by the worry of a cancer diagnosis.
She has waited 4 months for Gale to be ready and today was that day. She has a Shihtzu at home waiting for her and guess what her name is?
It’s Girlfriend…because Gale King needs a girlfriend to live with.
Nancy had tears flowing today when she got to meet our very special Gale and of course her name will remain Gale because it was just plain meant to be.
I’m so happy for you Gale, as your foster mom Pam says you are just a special light in this world and now you have a home of your own…forever.

About Gale:

Gale is an awesome 8 year old Wire Haired Dachshund, we rescued from a mill in Louisiana, she is an absolute gem of a girl and will be the love of some ones life. We are working on restoring her health with a dental and her milk drying up from recently having a litter of pups, she will be spayed in a few weeks and she will be ready to be adopted shortly after.
