Adopted!
New Name:
Age: Adult

Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux
Weight: 88 pounds
Current Location: Frisco, Texas
Adoption Date: March 24, 2022
Adopted by: Vicki and Mike Robinson
Latest Update:
Hallelujah!!!
Vicki Robinson and family of Frisco, TX have claimed the last of the Thanksgiving group, Giblet, as their very own. They are previous DRR adopters of Bailey and Raider (Luther) back in May. While Bailey is a bit more subdued, Raider is a wild child and they were looking for a playmate for him. Vicki is a member of the Village and has been watching Giblet. She weighed on Vicki’s mind, not having any interest from potential adopters so she reached out.
Foster mom Ana took Giblet over for a meet and greet. She and Raider romped around the yard a bit and got to know each other. Vicki fell in love as did her daughter when she popped in for a visit and the rest was history.
Giblet’s new parents will be home with her all day. She’ll have a human sister to snuggle on the couch with when she comes for a visit, and Vicki’s 11 year old granddaughter, who they call the dog whisperer, to pal around with.
Ana said there was a basket overfilled with toys and Giblet will want for nothing.
They are trying to decide on a new name and I’m sure we’ll hear more on the Happy Tails page, which they are already on.
Happy life, Giblet! You deserve all the beautiful things coming your way.
About Giblet:
This is one of the adult female Bordeaux’s rescued today. This girl was born on 12/8/18 making her almost 3 years old.
Formerly # 105A

Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Giblet 😍

UPDATE 3/2/2022
This girl giblet has been with the rescue since November. She’s been ready for a home of her own for months and months. She is a lovely girl with all people and all dogs. She is a little naughty in the home with things, like beds and rugs and we will require someone that is not gone 8 or 9 hours a day, but instead perhaps they work from home. Other than that, this girl right here is a perfect starter bear for someone who has not owned the breed before or a fabulous addition to anyone who has enjoyed this breed before and I would like another one.
We have so many dogs that are going to be hard to place in our rescue and this girl right here should not normally be one of them.

This is Giblet and she asks is my family out there right now?

UPDATE 2/24/2022
Speaking of Bordeaux’s with no home. Just like Casserole I shared yesterday, here sits Giblet from the same group with no home. Both girls are sweethearts. Giblet has been staying with Ana and has been here for months and months with no home on the horizon. Giblet is a little big naughty and will really need a home where someone isn’t gone from 8 to 5. Ana says she’s been destructive with chewing things up and Ana works from home, so she clearly is a little stinker.

Giblet gets along very well with other dogs and has been a good role model for Chili to see a Bordeaux that is relaxed and calm, so that has been a positive, but she truly needs her own home now. Maybe that might be you?

UPDATE 1/27/2022

Giblet is 3 years old. She just had her third birthday on December 22nd. She is staying at foster mom Ana’s house and she is just a lovely dog, so easy to have, gets along with all dogs, she has been cat tested and passed that too. Great dog for a first time Bordeaux owner and I assure you if you give her the chance to join your family you will get bitten by that Bordeaux bug and will always have one.

UPDATE 1/7/2022
Ana is taking care of Giblet and showing her life in a home, she is such a sweet girl with a few naughty traits but she will be lovely for someone to call their own.
“Giblet has gotten pretty comfy with her cozy bed 😍😍😍

She’s been eating well and gets excited about meal time. I got my first booty nips today while we were playing outside. They hurt! Little shithead! But she corrected well, backed off right away and has kept her toofers to herself since. We’re working on our manners. Like keeping our head out of the garbage can, our paws off the counters and our mouths off things that don’t belong to us like dog beds, rugs, blankets etc. She’s such a sweet girl and I love seeing her open up”

UPDATE 1/4/2022

Giblet here, checking in from my foster home. I met all my foster siblings and my foster dad. Everyone seems pretty nice and they all followed me around while I did a sniff inspection of my new dogs. We checked out the backyard and I smelled E V E R Y T H I N G. Twice! I spent my first hour or so lounging in the dining room while everyone else watched giant people on the wall (TV) in the other room. My foster mom brought a nice comfy bed out for me but I don’t know about that just yet. Well, gotta go smell everything again!

UPDATE 12/19/2021

Giblet has no home, Giblet has no applications, Giblet is one of the adult bears that was rescued along with all of the pups. Casserole was with her too, Casserole smuggled in a baby bear so she won’t be ready for a while now, but Giblet could really use some help with some shares. Giblet tried to scare us with a baby smuggling incident too, but it looks like she was just having a false pregnancy. Spaying will happen soon and we would love it if she had a family waiting for her when she’s all done. She’s a very sweet girl, very laid back. She does like to give you a little nibble sometimes on your backside, but she doesn’t mean anything by it other than “Hey, I like you. Do you like me?”

UPDATE 12/11/2021
This is Giblet, and Ham thinks she’s a little sexy so she came here with us for the next week or so. The volunteers report what they know about Giblet as this. She is a very sweet affectionate girl who likes to do zoomies sometimes. She does have a naughty side and will come up behind people and nip them on their butt. She corrects well, but it’s just a little something she does.

We are doing okay with applications for some of the bears but Giblet doesn’t have a home and we continue to search for a good application that will fit her needs. She’s doing well at the ranch and getting along with other dogs large and small..

UPDATE 12/8/2021
As if today wasn’t stressful enough we checked on Giblet who is the other adult Bordeaux that came from the same mill as Casserole. To our amazement she had milk, we whisked her off to Dr. Reno for an x-ray and no pups appear so we are hoping its a false pregnancy. We will schedule an ultrasound just in case its too early for them to appear on X-ray but typically they don’t get milk until the end so an ultrasound is just to cover all bases but we feel like she’s not actually pregnant.
