About Gladius:
- Gladius is a regal Dobie boy who unfortunately found himself in the shelter for the second time this year. He was not reclaimed by his owner and came to the Sanctuary along with Von the GSD. Unfortunately, he is Heartworm positive, but luckily, he is an otherwise healthy young boy who will be treated later this month and then can then go on to his forever home. Gladius has clearly lived as someone’s pet, as he is well mannered indoors and loves a soft blanket with him in his den to snuggle up with. He has recently gone to foster with Amy PK and will stay with her until his vetting is completed at the end of July. Doberman lovers, this boy is a great catch with a lovely temperament, get your applications in!

- – Update from Amy PK: “Gladius here showcasing his happy face because his heartworm treatment is done, and he is ready for his forever home. He is doing well with his potty training and has learned to sit like a gentleman before meals
and going outside. He is a typical goofy/ high energy young Doberman but is respectful and able to adapt to my lower energy crew. He is perfect in his crate and in all honesty needs one at this time. He does get into mischief when he is not monitored. In all honesty, the most difficult issue I’ve had with him is that he is a pillow terrorist. He just can’t help himself. I turn my back for a second and the corner is gone from a pillow with stuffing everywhere. We are working on it, and he is a smart boy so I am sure he will get it. He gets along with all dogs big and small. He is good around children and doesn’t jump on anyone. Get your applications in quickly. This boy is a winner!!!”
