Latest Update:
While being fostered by Wes, Goldilocks came down with an upper respiratory infection and was kept isolated until she made a full recovery. Goldy didn’t have to be isolated anymore and joined Wes’s pack going to and from the Ranch and sleeping wherever she wanted – and she just blossomed. Wonderfully sweet, young at heart, friendly and playful with every dog she met (at times over exuberantly). She’s a wonderful, special dog.
The Bensing family who lives in Dallas, stopped by to visit with Goldy because they wanted to add to their family. They fell in love immediately! They’re keeping her name but changing the spelling – she’s Goldie now.
Happy life you sweet, goofy girl. Don’t look back because it only gets better for you from now on.
About Goldilocks:
I couldn’t ignore this beauty with such soulful eyes and knew we had to secure her from a Corpus Christi high-kill shelter. We were grateful she and a few other rescues could be transported to the Ranch thanks to some wonderful volunteers on our Transport Page.
This girl is just as sweet in person as she looked in the shelter, just a little girl, maybe around 45 pounds. Absolutely infested with fleas and black flea poop, as we washed her the blood ran down the drain. She’s anemic as all three of the other rescued dogs are.
She’s exhausted but safe and sound. Soon she will see our Dr. D and be on her road to recovery and finding a wonderful, loving home.
Please welcome Goldilocks to the DRR.
