Latest Update:
Her story is a long one, we first saw her in a shelter where it stated that she had to be an only dog and her owner surrendered her due to ill health. Sadly the shelter made the mistake of adopting her to a home with other dogs with a lady that had good intentions. It could have cost her her life as she got into a good brawl with the dog sin the home and ended up in the ER with tubes and wounds.
Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Grandma.
UPDATE 12/19/2021
From Foster Mom Amy…
Grumpy Grandma is not happy now that there are presents under the tree, as she has lost her favorite place to nap. I moved a big bed out for her in the living room so she would quit giving me dirty looks. To my surprise, she allowed my boxer to share the bed with her. This is huge because Grandma is not a good sharer. I’m so proud of this knife wielding old lady
UPDATE 12/10/2021
We will keep trying to find the right place for her as I’ve stated before a home with an elderly person who is afraid to commit to a younger dog due to their own age but would love to have an elderly companion like Grandma would be ideal. All we can do is wish and hope that this magical home appears for Grandma.
UPDATE 11/28/2021
Grandma has found a spot that she adores, a little resting spot under the Christmas tree. This old lady dreams of a home of her own for Christmas and we know that it is next to impossible to find. She is very old, with conflicting information on whether its 12 or 14, but regardless, she needs to be an only dog and she’s got age going against her too. That’s okay, we will keep asking for help finding that special someone just in case they are out there.

UPDATE 10/27/2021
I have done very slow introductions with grandma and my dogs. She is out with them for a little bits and pieces of time when I can give them my full attention. I have seen zero aggression issues with her.
UPDATE 10/25/2021
We still have no idea how things will pan out with Grandma, is it possible to find an only dog home for a dog as old as she is? it’s not impossible but of course that is a very small group of people that we would be looking for. Right now she is recovering nicely and she has a lot of spunk for an old girl.
