Latest Update:
Today Grumpy Bear met his new daddy and got on the road to Hollywood South Carolina to go live with Annie and George Palmer.
This is their third adoption from Dog Ranch Rescue, they adopted two of our Frenchies Cha Cha and Desi. They recently lost their Mastiff and were ready to open their hearts to a new one and Grumpy Bear is the lucky boy to be chosen for their home. In addition to Cha Cha and Desi he will also have 2 Scottie dogs and a couple of cats at his new home.
George will be driving along side this Grumpy Bear into the sunset and the other side of the country where Annie is home shopping for just the right pool for this sweet boy to swim in. His name? well it’s Grumpy Bear of course, because he can’t ever be anything else but a very happy Grumpy Bear…
Happy life sweet boy, happy to see you on your way….
About Grumpy Bear:
UPDATE:**************
This handsome boy is one sweet, affectionate dog who loves swimming in the Ranch pond. He’s sociable with all dogs and enjoys getting pets and holdy, even making his way onto our laps. He will make a wonderful companion to a deserving family.

Posts of this one-year-old boy had been sent to us by multiple people and I was so hopeful that he belonged to someone who would reclaim him. He’s already been neutered and he looked like he was cared for by his pictures. No such luck….nobody came…nobody claimed him. His stray hold came up and he would not survive due to overcrowding.
In the shelter he is stiff with fear and has growled at the staff but never made a move for them, he’s just terrified.
We discussed what to do and we knew we couldn’t turn our back on him and had to tag him. We will keep him safe and let him know that he doesn’t have to be afraid anymore. He has already gotten friendly with Travis and Renee, and he continues to decompress and learn that he is safe and loved. He is also a big fan of getting scrubby baths!
We couldn’t think of a name for him and had just been calling him Grumpy Bear because he looks like Grumpy Cat, but it looks like that name will stick and we will welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue, Grumpy Bear….
