Latest Update:
Back in February we rescued a group of dogs from a puppy mill auction. Harp was one of them but she was in rough shape. This tiny, four-pound girl came to us with a terrible heart and needed open heart surgery at Texas A & M, so foster mom, Mary Jones, stepped up to take care of her through all of her needs. Open heart surgery was performed, her heart was repaired and is working perfectly. She then became ill with something random that we never came to a conclusion on; she began developing open sores all inside her mouth and her bloodwork was a mess, and the doctors felt that she had ulcers in her stomach too. Lots of medicine, lots of weeks of care and Mary Jones nursed her back to wellness so that she could finally be spayed.
Tina and Jeff Arndt have been waiting for this tiny girl since February, they never gave up no matter the setbacks.
Jeff flew into Houston from Fairfax, VA to meet Mary at the airport and finally take their little girl home. It was a tearful event for Mary to hand little Harp over to her new family after caring for her for months and months, she, of course, loves her very much. Harp will have two Pugs and a Puggle to play with at home, and her mom Tina is home all day to spoil her rotten.
It took us a very long time but we are thrilled to finally be able to say happy life, little Harp!
Harp is just two-years-old and was rescued from our first mill auction of 2017. We discovered that she has a bad heart that needs to be repaired so she will be sent to Texas A & M in April to do her surgery. After her recovery we will find the absolute best home for this sweet girl.
