Harvey checking in…

Day 9 of quarantine and he’s doing fine. No signs of any illness.

He loves his toys and wants to carry them all outside so now he has his outside toys and his crate toys. He lets me take them out of his mouth with no problem (most dogs hold on for dear life).

Harvey still has a way to go on the crate training. He doesn’t like it dirty but hasn’t figured out that he has to let me know in advance when he has to go. I take him out a lot during the day but sometimes he’ll just go back in his crate to pee or poop there which is always fun. We’ve had many discussions about it.

He’s a super sweet wiggle butt and loves to have his stomach rubbed. He likes to lay on the deck and play with his toy and just enjoy being outside.

Harvey also has long legs and loves to jump. We are working hard on the jumping. My thighs front and back are getting bruised up. I would say no small children until he can calm down some. Having said that, he is making progress.

He’s eating well and sleeps all night. His bedtime and last potty break is about 8:45pm. He wakes up early. Think he hears my dogs coming down the hall about 4:45am. We use sound machines but he has good hearing. You need to get him out quick if you don’t want a mess.

Harvey is really a cute little guy and I think he’ll make someone a great companion. He met my Indie through the fence and had a great time with her between fences. We’ll see how he does with other dogs once he’s off quarantine.
