Do you remember where we found this sweet little girl? Ranch employee Ashley found her at the Flying J gas station nearby so we brought her to the Sanctuary. We posted her on every lost and found site and waited to hear from her owners because surely she was just lost. She was too much of a gem to not be someone’s dog. While we waited she was vetted and loved at the Sanctuary where a volunteer named her Honey. No one stepped up for her so she was put on our page for adoption which is where Diane McGee saw her.

Diane and her husband Mike had been wanting to adopt an Aussie (mix) since they love the breed and have had them in their home for years. Diane is an emergency veterinarian, and Honey will will have a sister, Riley, at home who will show her the ropes.

The McGee’s drove up from Argyle, TX with their daughter Megan to meet Honey who happily said goodbye to the Sanctuary.

We will miss you, Honey girl. Enjoy your new life and family!

About Honey:

Our employee Asheley was headed home from work yesterday and stopped at the gas station near the ranch that is right along side the highway and found this girl wandering around. No collar, no chip, we have reported her to animal control, we have posted her on all the local lost and found pages and next door pages and now we wait to see if somebody is missing her. She is young, a couple years old appears to be a Mini Aussie or a Aussie mix. Very sweet girl…

UPDATE 6/1/2021

So far not a single person has come forward claiming that they lost this girl, she is posted everywhere and reported to Collin County Animal services. The volunteers just call her Honey, she is a delightful quiet sweet smart girl.
