Latest Update:

t made us so so happy to send Ivy on her way to her forever life. I’m not gonna lie it made us a little sad when Obi who has been dopted returned to the ranch for boarding with his family. Ivy was there and they found each other right away and would lay together, BUT…..we knew that Ivy’s new family was on their way for her to have her happily ever after too. Yesterday was that day.

Cory Turco from Arkansas wanted Ivy from the time she arrived, they have owned 5 Bordeaux’s over the years and wanted to welcome this sweet girl into their lives. Ivy will have a Great Dane, and a Schipperke for her friends in her life as well as 5 cats.

Ivy will keep her name Ivy and off she goes into the sunset far away from being abandoned in a yard in the desert of California.

Happy life sweet heart…

About Ivy:
we were contacted by the Dogue De Bordeaux rescue about these two Bordeaux’s in Moreno Valley California. They were abandoned in this yard a couple of months ago just the two of them and their friend that happened to be a rooster.
I’m told the elderly neighbors have been feeding them twice a day but they said they are very friendly and just desperate for attention and love, the flies are eating their ears and they need to get the hell out of there. The Dogue De Bordeaux rescue is the nationwide Bordeaux rescue but they are suffering for fosters and the overwhelming demand of dogs in need.
They reached out to us a few days ago to see if we could help but obviously the distance is a huge challenge. We talked about trying to ask Pilots and Paws or any transport company but they require health certificates and the neighbors just cannot manage to get these two to a vet and get that paperwork not even knowing what their vetting needs are.
I told them let me ask the village if they can help and who comes to the rescue to make this rescue transport? none other than Ricky and Terrie Barnes. Her is what we have to do, we will fly Ricky and Terrie into Ontario California, they will rent a van go out to the desert and retrieve these two from this yard they have been trapped in and drive them all the way back to Texas.
  • Ivy, or Ivy Girl as everyone calls her, was abandoned in the desert of Southern California along with her buddy, Obi. She is a super chill girl who lives life in the relaxed lane. She loves to lounge in the shade when outside and lay on a nice bed when she’s inside at the sanctuary. She’s a simply lovely Dogue who would be happy to be a part of your family. Her other favorite activity is to be bathed and pampered with a good brushing out of her soft velvet coat. Do you want a sweet bear to add to your family? Or maybe your current dog could use a down-to-earth companion? Either way, Ivy would be the perfect addition.
