Latest Update:
Today was the day that John boy has been waiting for. He passed his horse test with flying colors and his new family was concerned about him being good with their little Yorkie, Lincoln. I assured her that John Boy has no issues with other dogs, big or small, he’s fine with them all.
The Buchoz family came and met their new big red bear to take him home to Dripping Springs, Texas where he will live on a Ranch of his own with horses that we know he has little to no interest in just as we hoped.
His new name will be Waylon and we think that suits him just fine.
Off he goes to his forever life where he will be loved and cared for the way every dog should be.
Happy life Waylon!!
About John Boy:
This handsome boy was found as a stray on the streets of Houston. While we were at the auction, we had a volunteer, Paige, pick him up from a shelter there. She is currently fostering him and learning just who he is. Here is what she has discovered so far:
He’s a very pleasant bear that gives gentle kisses. He likes hamburgers, and he likes baths. He’s not a huge Dogue, he looks to weigh about 85 pounds. He has never walked on a leash in his life and has zero leash training but he is learning. Sadly, he has been chained all his life. He is not aggressive to other dogs, he just doesn’t know how to approach them and has no manners or social skills with them. He needs to gain weight as he’s emaciated and unfortunately, he is heart worm positive.
Paige is working to train him and get this sweetheart healthy while she fosters him.
We would like to welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue John Boy!
