After two surgeries we feel like we finally have Jubilees eyes where they need to be.
Jubilee arrived at the sanctuary last night and I went over there to meet her and Trav and I gave her a good scrubbing. She was absolutely filthy like her daughter Independence was, covered in some kind of sticky mud that was hard to get off.
She’s very thin, and pretty small about 65 pounds but she should weigh about 85 pounds so we will rectify that with a good healthy diet.
She’s a sweet girl who offers you little kisses, she has a scar on her lips where she’s been bitten by another dog, her tongue sticks out a little bit adding to her cuteness. Her cherry eye condition is severe and inhibits her vision but her eye balls look healthy so as soon as we get some weight on her, take care of her hookworms, and rectify her from being anemic she will go to the Eye Institute to correct her eyes.
(by the way cherry eyes is not a painful condition)
Many of you don’t know what “cherry eyes” are so I’ll provide link for you to read about why this happens, breeds its prone to happen with and options for corrections.
