Latest Update:

Mary Machete (Lady Mary) has packed her knives and is off to her forever home! Candice Breeden of Oklahoma City will be welcoming Mary into her family and we couldn’t be happier. Candice has owned three rescue pugs (Bear, Surrey, and Othello) who have since passed away. Lady Mary will be Candice’s first French Bulldog and current only dog.
She will be keeping the name Mary, after her late neighbor and mother figure/ female role model, also named Mary. Before she passed she would joke about how she’d want to come back in another life to be one of Candice’s dogs. So when Candice found Lady Mary she knew it was fate.
See you on happy tails, have a happy and spoiled life Mary!

We appear to have two little sisters that were both born on 1/29/17
This is the first one.
Say hello to Lady Mary.
UPDATE 7/19/2022
” Lady Mary here, listen up people, I’m adorable, I’m hilarious and I’m loved by the volunteers. Yeah, I carry a knife sometimes, but so what? I mean really, I like most dogs most of the times but sometimes I don’t is that bad? People don’t apply for me because of that knife, but I’m telling ya its not that big of a deal, I don’t like some dogs, don’t you feel the same way about some people?
I need a home, won’t you give me a chance? I deserve one I assure you.”
UPDATE 7/14/2022
Some of these dogs in the rescue are not so easy to figure out. Lady Mary, Anna, Portia. They are all dominant females, but who they pick and choose that they don’t like can be like a high school girl click. I like her, but I don’t like her. She likes her, but she doesn’t like me.

Lady Mary and Portia by the common criteria wouldn’t like each other, but they do. We are not. I repeat, we are not identifying who these girls will be compatible with. A decision will be made on a case by case basis. Don’t hesitate to apply for these girls as they are very fun girls who are social with most, but have knives for some. Sometimes people think that they won’t apply for this one or that one because they are problematic, but you need to know that the likes are way bigger than the dislikes.
UPDATE 7/10/2022
We have to laugh at the nickname that has been attached to Lady Mary. I want to emphasize to people who are leery about adopting her that she’s perfect with most dogs. She just doesn’t like other mill Mamas that are dominant like her. She got along perfectly with the other girls and of course she likes boys. This is her hanging out with Bodie.
Her nickname:
Machete Mary
UPDATE 7/7/2022
Lady Mary needs a specific home, she will bring out her switchblades and fight with other mill mamas that are dominant in a second. She is fine with males, and even females that are not dominant.
Lady Mary also needs a home with other dogs that are low energy. She does like to play, but many times the excitement gets to be too much and problems arise.
