Lettuce was adopted today by Christine Hla and Robert Carroll from Austin, TX. They have been waiting for a long time for Lettuce to finish raising her puppy and have her spay done. She will have a 13 year old short haired dachshund named Spaz to play with. Christine and Robert lost their Yorkie last year and were ready to find a new play mate for Spaz. They weren’t sure of her name at first but think that Letty fits her nicely. They promised to share updates with us on the Happy Tails page. Safe travels and enjoy your new family Letty.
This is Lettuce, a sweet, quiet Silky Terrier. She is 4 years old and supposed to be bred. Lettuce gets along well with all the other dogs.
Lettuce has packed her bags and moved into maternity manor. She is expecting one little pup and will stay with Jenn until her pup is born, weaned and adopted and then it will be her turn to be spayed and find a home of her own.
Lettuce is a sweet shy girl. She seems like she wants to come to me for pets but she is just too shy right now. She has made progress. When she first came here she would run away when I tried to pick her up. Now she will give me a cute butt wiggle and stop to be picked up. She is doing very well on potty training with an occasional accident at night. She eats good. She is my little alarm clock. She wakes me up exactly 5 minutes before the alarm is supposed to go off every day. Other than that she is a quiet girl who doesn’t bark much. We are working on holdy time. She is not a snuggler yet but we will get there.
Lettuce is a hoot. She twirls her little 7 pound body all around and jumps up and down with her front feet and sometimes lets out a bark or two when she gets excited. This is her daily routine at meal time. It is a sight to see and makes me laugh every time. She is a good eater and is potty trained. She enjoys being around the other dogs but right now is happiest being with her little boy the majority of the time. She is a fantastic mother and is taking wonderful care of Kale. I have a feeling it will be love at first sight when she meets her new family. Until then we will just enjoy her adorable quirky personality.
