Latest Update:

Lois is being adopted by Mo & Riann Khan. They previously adopted our little Frenchie Ginger now known as Fry and our Dogue de Bordeaux Tostado now named Ketchup. They recently lost their long-haired Dachshund who looked strikingly like Lois in coloring. The meeting between the dogs went famously with Lois trying to play with her new brother & sister. Mo and Riann board their dogs at the Ranch when traveling so we will look forward to seeing Lois from time to time. And they are long time members of Happy tails so we’ll be seeing her adventures soon. They are debating the name Dijon for the condiment theme, but might keep her name Lois.
Happy life Lois!
About Lois: I’m told she had an injury to her eye when she was a puppy and requires drops. We are also told she is very hard of hearing but that she gets along with all dogs and is very easy going.
Her name is Lois and she is 3 years old.

UPDATE 12/17/2020
Lois, has been examined now and we have discovered that her right eye produces absolutely no tears and hasn’t for a long time. She has now lost sight in that eye and we will be taking her to the Eye Institute next week to determine if we should just remove the eye. It doesn’t function and is just dry like a scab which requires drops every day to try and keep it moist, but if she has no vision in it we don’t really see the point. We will get their opinion before making a final determination, but that is how it looks right now.
