Latest Update:
We were so happy to find a forever home for Lucy.
Her new mama is Jamie Cousins from Whitehouse, TX – Jamie applied for Lucy knowing that she is a senior dog at the end of her life and wanted nothing more than to love and snuggle Lucy and give her the very best for as long as she has left. Lucy will have a 6 year old Great Pyr and her very own little boy to play with. DRR is still paying the veterinary bills for Lucy’s cat Duchess who is with Belinda’s House of Cats. Hoping she will be adopted soon.
Her mama has been waiting for her all week. She will be mama’s girl but her son, Ace’s, best friend. Ace was loving all over her.
We wish you all a very happy long life together
About Lucy:
Lucy was rescued from her own home when her elderly mom had to be sent away to a rest home. Lucy is a sweet senior dog, and is a little shy with new people, but she’s very loving with those she knows. Her birthdate from her owner has her at 12 years old. She is heart worm negative and came to us spayed thankfully, and this is a loyal girl who loves a soft dog bed to nap on as well as being with her people.
Her foster mom says she’s smart and has good house manners and is house broken. She may leak a little urine on her bed over night but has had no accidents whatsoever. Lucy was a dog who was loved, and lived with a family. We hope to find a special home that is deserving of this wonderful girl.
She’ll be a loving, loyal addition to her new family. Welcome to DRR, Lucy!
