Latest Update:
This poor, injured boy was down near Corpus Christi where his “family” moved away without him and left him to fend for himself. According to neighbors, he stayed at that house for a couple of months getting beat up, over and over again by stray dogs.
Our volunteer Lisa jumped in to action and drove all night to bring him to safety and into the care of Dr. D and all of us at Dog Ranch Rescue. He was literally covered with fleas, covered with dog bites and his ear was just a big swollen mass of pus. Dr. D took him to surgery to begin cleaning and scrubbing his wounds, she neutered him and cleaned his teeth. He was HW positive so we knew he had that ahead of him as well.
After much patient work at the Ranch, Mac surprised us all with how trusting and affectionate with people he was as well as his ability to play and socialize with other dogs.
Once he was finished with all of his vetting, his new mom, Julie Benson, from Dallas, Texas came to pick up her boy. Mac with have a brother, Leroy, who was once one of DRR’s fosters.
This is just a perfect match for these two boys to be best friends, both of them have the same play style and the same disposition. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the ending of this story and he couldn’t have landed in a more perfect place.
Happy life Mac
