Breed: French Bulldog
Current Location: Frisco TX
Adopted by: The Villanueva family
When Jessica and I met Marion in that cold auction house for the first time, she sat in the corner with her head hanging down and just in a state of constant trembling. We discovered as soon as we got back that not only was she afraid but she was sick with pyometra as well. They bragged that she was pregnant but of course that was a lie, instead she had a pus filled uterus.
She went into surgery for her spay immediately and went into a foster home with Lisa. We discovered that Marion was a very smart, very sweet girl that had no interest in the company of other dogs.
The Villanueva family from Frisco TX sent in an application to adopt a dog and they hoped that they wouldn’t be overlooked as an applicant because they have never owned a dog before, let alone a mill dog.
I feel bad for people who are overlooked by rescues to adopt for this reason, for goodness sake they have to adopt their first dog at some point, how about they get a chance?
They came to foster mom Lisa’s to meet her and spend some time with her and they loved her. We then scheduled her to go home with them for several days to see if it was something they felt like they wanted to continue with. Lisa wrote up a very long, very detailed information sheet on every aspect of caring for Marion.
Yesterday we were sent these photos, they are in love with her and she has found her forever place, far, far away from a mill. They know that we are here for them for any and all questions they have with their very first dog.
We wish the family, and Marion a very happy life, and a very Merry Christmas <3About Marion:
Marion is 4 years old and came to us sick with pyometra, she was taken straight into surgery and was spayed. She is in a foster home learning how to live in a home and try to decompress, she is a quiet girl but she is doing well with the other dogs in the home.
