They just don’t get any sweeter and affectionate than Miss May. Today she met her new mama, Laurie Zawiskie from Bedford Tx.
Laurie has another dog named Missy and she’s been lonely after losing her friend Rosey. Laurie works from home and May will have her lap all day long which will make her very happy. She has a long list of options for her name but hasn’t picked on yet. Stay tuned for that.

The Rescue responded to a “surrender” of dogs by a backyard breeder in South Texas in July. These dogs were all roaming out on this man’s land, a man who is being charged and tried for animal abuse and neglect. Our wonderful transporters brought home this Month-themed group. The conditions of all of these dogs were appalling, pitiful. This sweetheart is no exception.

She is around, I would guess, six years old, we have no paper work on any of them so it’s a guess. She has tapeworm as well as skin and ear infections. We are giving her good nutrition and love, and the best medical care there is.
