I know that all of you remember our little Meghan who came in with the funny crooked back legs. She hops around like a rabbit and reminded me of popcorn popping. She had come from a bad situation and had bloodwork with a high ALT on her liver and was put on medication and stayed with foster mom Kim. I’m happy report that her bloodwork is now normal and she looks very healthy now.
Kim has lost several of her own dogs in a very short period of time and when she met this little girl she fell head over heals in love with her and said she just can’t let her go.
So little Meghan is already home and will forever stay with Kim. I don’t know what her name will be but I’m sure Kim will let all of us know as soon as she decides.
Happy life little popcorn girl…<3
About Meghan:We sent Ricky up to Missouri yesterday to pick up this little cream girl. She’s one-year-old and was rescued by an elderly lady from a puppy mill 4 months ago. We are told she had no muscles in her back legs at all and had limited mobility from living in a small cage constantly. In 4 months she has improved a great deal but the lady who had her said she’s just shut down and shy and she needs more help than she can give her to help with that.
Dr. Turner examined Meghan yesterday, and the doctor says it’s obvious she was born this way. She has no pain and no discomfort but we will x-ray her anyway just to see if there is anything we need to know. We imagine that she’s very much like Triumph and is full of life and silliness just like she is.
She needs to be spayed and she will be x-rayed then. So far she’s very silly and sweet, she’s afraid of the hard floors but she will get over that with time. She loves the decomposed granite and the stone outside, it makes her feel steady on her feet.
Can I get a big welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue to Meghan!
