Sweet old Melvin is on his way to his furever home! He will be enjoying his new start in life with the Everett’s back in Corinth, Tx.
Melvin was discarded to the shelter by his previous owner because he had a polyp in his rectum…I’ll never understand but have no fear…
For his new family he will have his new fur sibling Winnie the Chihuahua mix to play and cuddle with all day long. I’ve been told Melvin has a bed and lots of toys calling his name. He also has a human sister eagerly waiting for his arrival. Sandra and Danny decided Louis will be Melvin’s new name. We hope to see an update on the Happy Tails page soon on how he’s spending his days. Until then have a happy life Louis with your new and loving family

About Melvin:

Another weekend another Frenchie surrendered by owner to the shelter. Reported to be 9 years old, only 16 pounds and a problem with his rectum. Not positive this is a prolapse and instead could be a bleeding polyp. Either way he will need surgery but if it’s a polyp it won’t be an emergency.

Ricky went and picked him up this morning and brought him to the sanctuary so we could get a good look at him and clean this up.
