Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux
Weight: est. weight 110 pounds
Current Location: Florida
Adopted by: Karen Burdine
This adoption is very emotional for all of us at Dog Ranch Rescue. Meredith has been with us for over three months and fought so hard to regain her health and overcome heart worm disease. She came to us from Florida with Cristina and McDreamy who have already gone on to their forever homes. “May May” as Travis affectionately calls her went to her new home with Karen and Tim Burdine yesterday……back to FLORIDA! You may remember that Miss Agatha Pickles was adopted by the Burdines. Karen and Tim have now driven twice across the United States to adopt. It really brings tears to our eyes to have the wonderful families that we have willing to travel long distances to give a sweet dog like Meredith the love and care she has never known.
The bright spot for Renee this weekend was that Karen and Tim brought Miss Agatha Pickles who was beyond delighted to see Renee and wagged and wagged and that lifted Renee’s heart in a way that no human could.
We will love and miss you Mer and wish you all the happiness in the world. Thank you Karen and Tim for all you have done for these two special girls.
Meredith is 4 years old and is Cristina’s sister. The sisters were rescued from a backyard breeding situation where the both of them were starved. The women that we got them from said that she fed them once every other day and both of the sisters were at least 20 pounds under weight! Both of the sisters are doing much better now that they are rescued, but they need a forever home.
Meredith is a little more shy than Cristina, but she has already blossomed with us, she wags her tail and comes to us for attention. Meredith, unfortunately she has tested positive for heart worm and will be needed to be treated for that. She is covered in infection like Cristina but they are both being treated for that while we are trying to get their health back into the healthy range.
