Latest Update:
Miss Daisy has come a long way from being sick in a shelter in North Carolina. It took a team of volunteers from the village to get her safely to us and now look, she’s got a family of her own.
Brenda and Tim Wren from Irving TX came and met this sweet little girl today and took her on home. She’s an only dog for now but they hope to adopt a Frenchie soon for a playmate.
For now it’s just her and Miss Daisy is still her name.
Go on ahead and drive Miss Daisy on Home and have a very happy life!
We have been working on this girl since Dec. 18th. She was brought to our attention on the For the Love of the DDB page but she was all the way in Greenville, South Carolina. She was a stray that a nice person took in but she couldn’t find an owner. She was then taken to the shelter in hopes that someone would claim her but they never came.
Laura arranged the transport of this sweetheart via our Volunteer Transport Page and with the help of several people, leg by leg, she arrived at the Ranch. Thank you to all of you ladies who are helping get this girl on to her new life!!
She’s a sick little girl with upper respiratory infection but the shelter sent her home with medication. Unfortunately she won’t eat a thing and is thin, about 60 lbs, so we will have to work on that with pizza, cheese, eggs, satin balls, whatever we can do to get her to join into the eating game.
I thought I would like to give her a name from the South and this picture of her sitting in the back of the car reminded me of one of my favorite movies so with that I would like to welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue, Miss Daisy!
UPDATE on Miss Daisy from Travis:
She’s still a very sick girl, lotta coughing and wheezing. She’s very sweet and shy, but very much wanting your affection and has a constant wagging tail. She’s really interested in food but hasn’t even gotten up yet to come to the kitchen when feeding everyone else. It’s ok though, because we have a breakfast/dinner in bed policy here so this is where she’s eaten every meal since being in my house.
No accidents in my house whatsoever and is a complete angel in the home…
She just wants her bed so that’s what she gets…lots of love, lots of rest and lots of good eating.
