Mrs Patmore

Adopted!
New Name:
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Breed: French Bulldog
Weight: 35 pounds
Current Location: The Colony
Adoption Date: July 16, 2022
Adopted by: Rose and Robert Myers
Latest Update:

Rose and Robert Myers from The Colony, and their grandson, Jax, came to pick up Mrs. Patmore today and make her part of their family. The Meyers are 3 time previous adopters. They currently have Sugar Bear (fka Glazed). They lost Xena back in February 2021 (after 5 years)and just recently lost their Sheba (after 7 years). Both were about 12 yrs old when they passed. Even though they miss them terribly they felt they were ready to open their hearts to love another. Rose just recently retired and will have plenty of time to help Mrs. Patmore adjust to her new home. Sugar Bear came sporting her fancy harness and leash and I have a feeling Mrs. Patmore will have one soon. Not sure of her name yet… we’ll find out on the Happy Tails page. Have a great life Mrs. Patmore. I’ll sure miss our nightly snuggles. You are one very special girl!

About Mrs Patmore:
We have a handful of 5 year old mamas. No birthdate on them they just tell us they are 5 so we just go with that.

Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Mrs Patmore

UPDATE 7/5/2022

Millie sending us an update on Mrs. Patmore.
Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on Mrs. Patmore.

This girl is really coming out of her shell. She follows me everywhere. Definitely a Velcro dog. Loves her dental kibble treats and belly rubs! She inquisitive … always wants to know what I’m doing. A little mischief has snuck in with chewing on towels and pushing beds around but can easily be redirected with the Nylabone she loves. Mrs. Patmore comes right out of her crate in the mornings .. does a little yoga stretch and out side she runs.(remember I used to have to climb in her crate and carry her out). Now she’s a slim 28 lbs and feels good. No accidents ever in her crate and is getting really good in the house with her potty training. I’d say “no” to cats. She barks at kitty whenever she’s close. Mrs. Patmore has gone from cowering to standing up proudly with ears erect. Such a different dog then when she first came to us. She loves to snuggle.. and snuggle and snuggle. How could she be any more adorable with that tongue out…! Look out world here she comes!

UPDATE 6/27/2022

Putting a little spotlight on Mrs. Patmore while we look for a home for her based on who she is. Millie took this very shy girl home with her and slowly but surely she is coming out of her very afraid shell. Mrs. Patmore has a slight limp in her back leg, we had her examined to see if she needed knee surgery with a locating patella but once they had her under anesthesia and got a good look at her x-rays it was determined that it isn’t the slight locating patella that is the issue, she has arthritis in her hip and will perhaps need pain meds and joint supplements for the rest of her days.
Here is what Millie is telling us about Mrs. Patmore and how she is doing today:
Quick update..
She has decided she wants to follow me around and loves her treats. She goes in and out with the other dogs but does have an occasional accident. She no longer cowers in a corner or pants with fear. She joins in with the barking whenever the yard needs protecting and has decided she needs to bark at Miss Kitty too. Miss Patmore has her own place in the kitchen to eat and waits for her turn with a little dancing at times. She has a crate in the dog room where she sleeps at night. When she first came I had to climb in and bring her out then carry her outside. Now out she comes.. does a little stretching and runs out the door down the hall through the kitchen to go out the side door!! Makes me laugh and I always tell her how smart she is.
My grandson came by to meet her the other day and she was a little nervous but checked him out and let him pet her.

If you think you might be a good match for Mrs. Patmore applications can be submitted here.

UPDATE 6/13/2022

We need a special applicant for Mrs. Patmore.

She’s a very quiet very shy sweet girl who will need a home that is willing to do what it takes to help her blossom. She’s staying with Millie and is making strides but she’s not the kind of dog that anyone should expect her to run and wiggle and be an outgoing girl.

UPDATE 5/23/2022

Mrs Patmore is a shy shut down girl that will require lots of care and love from our crew at the sanctuary. Have no fear she will get there.
