Latest Update:
Our foster mom Amy said goodbye to her 8th Doberman foster today and she filled us in on all the details.
I drove Nile to her beautiful new home in McKinney, Tx yesterday. She was adopted by Ken and Jennifer Carter and their twin boys, Wyatt and Westin. She will also have a Italian greyhound sister named Juno. Ken is retired and looking forward to spending lots of time with Nile. Jen enjoys gardening and looks forward to some extra company in her beautiful backyard. They will be keeping the name Nile and promise to update us on the happy tails page.
About Nile:
This female doberman came from a shelter in the valley. She has been with Raquel a couple of weeks and was on her last few hours in the shelter before being euthanized.  We had Raquel go pick her up and hold her for a bit until we were ready to bring her up.

Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue, Nile

UPDATE 7/26/2021

Nile came to us a very sick girl, she was a stray down in the valley, emaciated, sick with ehrlichia, and anaplasmosis, she was feverish, and nauseas and she needed to go to a foster home to recover where Amy could keep a close eye on her. We are happy to say that Nile has finally overcome all of it and was finally healthy enough to be spayed and she is now ready for her permanent family. Amy has update us a little bit about her:

My girl Chloe, is taking care of her as she recuperates from her surgery. Nile is a sweet Doberman girl with lots of energy. She is potty trained and does well in a crate for short periods of time. She is wonderful with kids and all dogs big and small.

UPDATE 7/16/2021

Hi there. It’s me, Nile, checking in. I am doing great. My foster mom is so proud of me as I haven’t pottied in the house in over a month!! I think I’ve got this potty training down!! I love all the other dogs here and even have a new little foster pal (Sweet Caroline) who is fun to hang out with. I have a check up next week to make sure my nasty tick illness is gone and then I can get spayed. My foster mom says I will be ready to find a family of my own very soon!! I can’t wait!

UPDATE 5/13/2021

Nile is adorable but she is a very sick girl, she came to us emaciated and has had a few episodes of being lethargic with a fever and not wanting to eat. Dr. Reno has gotten to the root of the problem with a big tick panel sent off. It turns out that Nile is sick with both anaplasmosis and ehrlichia and will be required to take medication to combat it and try and get her healthy again. Both of these illnesses are caused by ticks and down in the valley this is a common occurrence. We are keeping a close eye on her and getting her all the medicine she needs and still trying to get her weight back to normal and in time she will be well again.
