Daily Dose of Oakie from Brokie… We did it, we found the mixed breed, black dog a fantastic home. Rick and Susan Foster from Kaufman, TX are cattle farmers and can’t wait for Oakie to help round up the heard. Susan fell in love with this boy the moment she saw him and just had to have him. His new name will be Oliver (Ollie) and he will be the only dog at the ranch. The Fosters older children and grandchildren cannot wait to meet this sweet boy.

His luck changed in an instant…

Meet OAKIE! He is a Black lab mix and @8 weeks old, still has puppy breath so he was likely just weaned. Here’s the story, Fake Mama is on vacation in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and was driving down Broadway St. and I heard a puppy crying. My 1st thought was, “what idiot left their dog in the car, it 72°?” We hop out of the car to go into a Pawn Shop/Ammo store and the crying got louder. There he was sitting in a crate, all alone with food on the floor and sitting on plastic. GRRR! There was a FREE sign laying on top of it. The owners of the pawn shop said he and 2 siblings were dropped off on Christmas Eve, they kept one and a friend took the female. Of course Fake Mama wasn’t about to leave that baby in that crate, by himself, so out he came and the text to Renee and Laura immediately followed. He is officially a DRR pup and will be fully vetted and ready for his new home and his life has officially changed forever. And maybe Fake Mama did have a little red Christmas collar with a bow and bell, in her car… who’s asking?!
