Latest Update:
Our own little foster, Olive Oyl, the sweetest girl in all the land, went home with her new mama today.
Corrie Watson from Fort Worth, TX, and her dog Cami came to pick up their new family member and continue with all the months of HW treatment that she will still need all while in the hands of her forever mama.
We told her what a special girl she is and how she likes to soak in the pond so she will get her a little kiddie pool for her to continue what she loves.
We’re going to miss her, she’s come a long way from being tossed aside by a mill owner because she miscarried all of her babies.
Don’t look back sweet girl, the world is your oyster.
Happy life little girl!
Olive Oyl was discarded by her mill owner because she miscarried her last litter of pups, their loss, her gain. We are estimating her to be around 6 years old, vetting is underway and once healthy she will be ready for adoption.
Update on Olive from her foster mom:
Olive Oyl is the sweetest girl, rather rotund, and from her appetite I can surmise the reason for that! Olive is not as active in play as her “brothers” but enjoys watching them play. Olive would be a wonderful companion to sit by your side when reading, crocheting or watching TV. Olive, too, was fearful of humans, but her roly-poly shape made it harder to scoot away from me. Cats are ignored and she is very content and has few wants or needs. Love, human company and, of course, food and Olive Oyl is a happy camper. I would recommend a quieter home for Olive.
