Latest Update:

Just like that, she is off! This fabulous girl Portia will be starting her spoiled life flying in first class to her furever home out in Meriden, CT with her new momma Teresa Henninger. Portia will be a traveling dog as Teresa travels often between Boston and Connecticut. Since she’ll be a traveling dog, Teresa already has quite a collection of clothes waiting for her at home so she will always be strolling around in style. She also has her grand-pups always around, so Portia will have plenty of friends to run, play tug a war, and roll around with. Her new name will be Scarlett, but is keeping Portia as her middle name. Teresa has been introduced to Happy Tails and promised to post an update once they are back home and settled in. Until then, safe travels back and have a fabulous life Scarlett!

About Portia:

This girl was surrendered to a shelter in Oklahoma and our foster mom Trish went and bailed her out and Ricky picked her up and brought her to the sanctuary.

I don’t have a lot of details about her except that she’s 7 years old and that she’s spayed already. She sure is a silly little thing.

Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Portia.

UPDATE 7/14/2022
Some of these dogs in the rescue are not so easy to figure out. Lady Mary, Anna, Portia. They are all dominant females, but who they pick and choose that they don’t like can be like a high school girl click. I like her, but I don’t like her. She likes her, but she doesn’t like me. 😂🤣

Lady Mary and Portia by the common criteria wouldn’t like each other, but they do. We are not. I repeat, we are not identifying who these girls will be compatible with. A decision will be made on a case by case basis. Don’t hesitate to apply for these girls as they are very fun girls who are social with most, but have knives for some. Sometimes people think that they won’t apply for this one or that one because they are problematic, but you need to know that the likes are way bigger than the dislikes.
