Raven Darkholme aka Stinky Puppy as Wes lovingly referred to her was adopted today by Tommy Greene from Wimberly, TX. Tommy has a beautiful place in the Hill Country of Texas and his sister Lisa lives with him and will be home to care for Raven during the day as Tommy is at work. They plan to keep her name as Raven and we look forward to seeing her over on Happy Tails. So glad we could save you from your previous life on the streets of Dallas and wish you a very happy life sweet girl.
About Raven Darkholme:
4/2/2020
Wes fell in love with this stinky pup and asked if he could rescue her and foster her. She’s just a baby and covered in demodex but that’s okay we can get her looking like a shiny new penny with some good medicine and love.
Laura made the appt for Wes to pick him up at Dallas Animal Services this morning at 10:00 because you now have to have an appt to not come into contact with others. He will drive her straight to Dr Reno where they are waiting for her. Wes named her so I will tell you her name is Raven Darkholme.
I’ll let him explain later, for now welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Raven.
UPDATE 4/4/2020
Wes is giving us a little update on how Raven is doing:
It’s all new to her still, she’s super scared of going into and out of a crate in the car, her first time in the tub (and likely her first bath ever) was like trying to wash a feral cat, but she’s very smart and very sweet and learned to trust me very quickly.
I got her all soaped up with special shampoo and rinsed and scrubbed her scabby crusty skin, gave her some food and water, took her out to potty and then took her home to a new cage with fresh soft bedding that she just loved and went to sleep in immediately.
She only whined a little bit because she wanted to come get hugs, and whenever I would walk past her cage she’d wake up and wag her tail at me.
She was a good girl all night and didn’t potty in her cage, she found her voice at breakfast time when I didn’t bring it quick enough for her though!
