Latest Update:
On June 24th Reprieve was saved. She was tattered, sick, emaciated, hair falling out, infection all over her, infected eyes, no energy, and sick with heart worms.
It took us three months but she has completely recovered. She’s beautiful inside and out, all of her hair has grown back, she’s a healthy weight, she’s been spayed and treated for heart worms.
Today she left to be with her new family. Ashley Rosch from Midlothian, Tx submitted an application for her just a couple of days after we shared her with the village. She knew that she had to be hers and today she is.
Reprieve will live with a Corgi named Rowdy, and she will thrive on a raw diet. Most importantly she will always be loved and cared for and the days of her looking like a dog near death are very far behind her.
Have a happy life, sweet girl. I’m so happy we were able to grant you a Reprieve and in the nick of time we were able to save you.
Look who has arrived at the Ranch…
Precious, that’s what she is…she wants a hug, she wants to eat anything you’ve got and she’s so happy to be alive.
Medically she’s a complete mess, she has nothing contagious any longer, but you can see the condition she’s in.
Completely emaciated, covered in skin infection, sores and callouses. Her bloodwork is a mess, anemic and low albumin, sick from malnutrition and heartworms.
She’s heartworm positive, and she has entropian in both eyes and will most likely need eye surgery.
She will most likely cost the rescue around 4,000 to restore her health and at least 2 to 3 months of time with baths, medicine, love and nutrition while being cared for by us on a daily basis.
Do we regret our last minute decision to save her life.?
Not for a split second.
