Look who got his very own family…Scooby Doo!!
He went home with his new mom and dad and two kids to call his own. Scooby absolutely loves kids and can’t stop wagging and kissing them. The Pirkle Family from McKinney will welcome Scooby into their family, something a dog from the street in the valley who had been shot and hit by a car, beat up by other dogs and starved could never even dream of being so lucky.
Dreams do come true for Scooby Doo…happy life, sweet boy!
We saw this boy down in the valley and decided to pull him now that we have the Sanctuary available. When we got him we saw he had a mate with him in the run, so we grabbed him as well!
He is a very sweet boy but he’s emaciated, and the bottom lid of his left eye appears torn. He’s around 25-30 lbs so he’s small! He has infected skin and ears and sadly is sick with heart worms. We are working to get him 100% healthy, but for now he is enjoying the regular baths, good food and love from our volunteers.
Welcome to DRR, Scooby Doo!
I know Scooby Doo looks like a Rottweiler in pictures but you would be shocked to see him in person.
If there was ever any such thing as a miniature Rottweiler (which there isn’t by the way) he would be it. He weighs maybe 25 to 30 pounds, he is the perfect size for someone wanting a medium sized dog.
